Black boards to white board project

All black boards of Nuweiba schools were replaced with white boards to protect students’ health and teachers alike from hazards resulting from using chalk.


 
'My School' Project 

Renovating 7 primary schools scattered across South Sinai governorate (valleys and towns) in co-operation with Vodafone's organization for social development seeking a healthy and clean environment for the students and teachers.

 

'Back To School'

Funding and setting up a workshop for 5 days for 15 volunteers from Cairo and preparing them to carry out an educational and cultural day for the primary school kids.

Implementing the program in 3 schools in the valleys and towns of South Sinai. 

 

Capacity building training for the teaching staff 

Aiming at training the teachers on better educational methods and increasing their knowledge about the environment. 

The project was carried out in cooperation with the National Institute of Educational Research and Development and the UNICEF.

The project was executed in 3 schools in Nuweiba, and 12 schools in El Tur with a total of 90 teachers and administrators.

 

 The mobile information club bus – Ministry of Information

Hosting the Ministry of Information's mobile bus (Information club) for two months, visiting the cities of Nuweiba, Dahab and St. Catherine

Various training courses were carried out by the bus trainers on how to use the computer and the internet for the Bedouins and the locals.

 

 Establishing a Fixed IT  Center

In cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Hesham & Samah Gabr (owners of Camel Hotel And Diving in Sharm), ACT Company and the German-Arab Trade Chamber in Egypt, Hemaya established and prepared and IT center to introduce Nuweiba’s local community to the IT world.

The project provided for Desktops, electricity power supply and internet access for the IT centre.

The project is currently at the phase of providing adequate trainers to start IT courses for the region’s inhabitants.

 

 IT Tabulators for Bedouin Women

As Bedouin women and elder girls are mostly confined to their homes, so as to respect their cultural traits, and yet still empower them with the needed knowledge, the project would offer home-based ICT for illiteracy eradication courses for the Bedouin Women.

The project is still in the preparation phase.

1.      The mobile information club bus – Ministry of Information.
